Volunteer with Pride
Volunteers are the beating heart of Copenhagen Pride. Every year, hundreds of volunteers donate their time, expertise, energy and passion to help us deliver Copenhagen Pride events for the whole community.
Being a volunteer is also a great way to meet new people, discover new friendships, learn new skills, and grow from different experiences. Above all, we try to make sure it is fun and rewarding.
Event volunteers
During our events – mainly Winter Pride in February and Copenhagen Pride in August – we needs lots of help! Roles include stewarding, visitor guides, retail assistant, bar staff and bar manager, stage runner, volunteer manager, and social media assistant. Whatever your skills and experience, we are sure there is a role for you!
The minimum commitment is just one shift. We provide you with an ELSK t-shirt to wear during your shift, a hot meal and refreshments, and three drinks tokens to spend at any of our bars afterwards. You’ll also be welcomed into our volunteer network and invited to our events – such as the Volunteer Thank You Party in September.
You must be aged 18 or over, and have the right to work in Denmark.
If you like the sound of the volunteer experience, sign up via CrewPlan on the link below, and you’ll receive more information when shift plans open ahead of each event.
If you have any questions you can send an email to [email protected].
Year-round volunteers
Copenhagen Pride is blessed with a professional team of dedicated volunteers who give a few hours each week all year around to help us with our long-term planning and organisation.
Our programming teams cover topics such as Culture, Human Rights, Show, Youth, and Children and Rainbow Families. They put together the amazing programmes you see at our events. And then we have the operational teams who ensure our events are well planned and safe, covering topics such as Parade, Safety, Stages, Hospitality, and Volunteers.
The time commitment in these teams varies but it is always negotiable to fit in with your availability. Most teams meet regularly and they are all like a big, friendly extended family. Most teams operate in Danish but English is fine too.
If you think you might be interested in becoming a year-round volunteer, you can either write to the manager for the area you are interested in (you’ll find them listed here), or write to [email protected] and you will be referred to the most relevant colleague.
We look forward to hearing from you!
