In record time, Copenhagen Pride has worked innovatively and with a vision to develop a format for Pride Week that lives up to the current government guidelines regarding corona virus.
“This means that all debates can be viewed from home, that we’ll be turning the parade digital and bringing the evening show in a television format that we’re already excited to tell more about when the time comes,” says chairperson Lars Henriksen.
There will be a Pride Week
Copenhagen Pride Week will run from the 17th till the 22nd of August with 100 events at City Hall Square, all of which will be transmitted live via a camera crew and an OB truck to an entirely new website and accompanying virtual universe.
“It will be possible to participate in person in the debates at City Hall Square. The current guidelines from the authorities state that we can be 500 people gathered for sit-down events, such as conferences,” says chairperson Lars Henriksen.
If the authorities shut down the possibility for physical participation, Copenhagen Pride Week will continue online. Everything can be seen on the new virtual platform, which Copenhagen Pride is developing together with Agenda Group, and in the same process, the organization also gains a new website. The format has already been developed and will be tested throughout the summer by a team of professionals, so we’ll be ready to open the virtual universe of August 1st.
