Copenhagen Pride organises Denmark’s biggest human rights events and we are recruiting a skilled Production Coordinator to join our Secretariat on a full time, permanent contract.
Reporting to the Production Manager but working closely with several colleagues across the organisation, the Production Coordinator will support the volunteer and staff team in planning and delivering every aspect of Copenhagen Pride events in February and August, and additional events as they arise.
This is a full-time (37 hours per week) contract. It should be noted that employees are expected to work throughout July and August with minimal vacations in this time. The post is based at the Copenhagen Pride office in Farvergade.
Core responsibilities
- Have overall coordination responsibility for a range of events, including occasional events throughout the year, Winter Pride in February, and Copenhagen Pride in August
- Working with the Production Manager and volunteer Area Managers to coordinate plans, technical drawings, permissions, licenses and other necessary documentation to enable events to go ahead
- Working with the Production Manager and colleagues to organise and coordinate suppliers and orders for all production needs across Copenhagen Pride events
- During Copenhagen Pride, being a trouble shooter and problem solver and ready to respond to any unforeseen problem or circumstance
- Support the Partnerships Team in execution of partner activations, including collecting activation materials for partners in the months leading up to events
- Working with the Volunteer Team to coordinate runners and other key volunteers during events, and helping to run recruitment events throughout the year
- Being an integral part of the Copenhagen Pride Secretariat, taking a collaborative approach to supporting colleagues
Your skills and experience
We welcome applications from all sections of the community. Your knowledge and commitment are more important than qualifications or strict definitions of experience.
- Experience of working in live events, ideally with some experience of backstage production, electrics, light and/or sound
- A sound understanding of health and safety, minimising risk and ensuring a safe event for all volunteers, staff and visitors
- Experience of working in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environment and ability to stay calm and to bring calm to difficult situations
- Experience of working in a team and ability to take a collaborative approach
- Strong commitment to LGBTI+ equality, human rights and inclusion
- A driving licence is helpful but not essential
- Fluency in Danish and professional proficiency in English; ability in other languages is a bonus
