Safety and security

Copenhagen Pride’s approach to safety

Copenhagen Pride’s approach to event safety is that all events organised by the organisation must be held under safe and secure conditions.

This attitude is put into practice through the Copenhagen Pride Safety Team, which works all year round to improve safety in the organisation and at the organisation’s events.

The Safety Team

Copenhagen Pride’s Safety Team is always in need of enthusiasts who have experience in safety or want to help create a safe environment during the organisation of Pride Week.

The Safety Team consists of volunteers with everything from many years of experience in security work to volunteers who want to learn and – or just lend a hand – in the organisation of this summer’s Pride Week.

The Safety Team works using Crowd Management, which is a systematic approach to planning and supervising the orderly movement and assembly of people.

Responsible for the Safety Team is the Copenhagen Pride Safety Manager, who can be contacted via the Pride website and if you want to become part of the Safety Team, you can find more information under ‘Become a volunteer‘.

Safety during the event

Copenhagen Pride’s safety organisation is responsible for ensuring that the organisation’s events are carried out in a safe and secure manner, in close collaboration with the authorities and partners.

This is done through prior safety planning and by being visibly present at the event areas for the audience, participants, suppliers, sponsors and others.

The Safety Team provides guidance, corrects and handles safety situations during the event.

You are always welcome to contact us at the event area should you need help or answers to your questions.
