We currently have the following vacancies in our Secretariat based in a cosy office in central Copenhagen, a few minutes’ walk from City Hall Square. 

Production Coordinator

As Production Coordinator at Copenhagen Pride, your main task will be to assist the event team in planning and executing several annual events, especially during Denmark’s largest human rights event Copenhagen Pride in August but also Winter Pride in February and other events throughout the year.

You must be ready to take on the tasks we throw at you – you must enjoy solving unsolvable challenges and be ready to handle everything from artist contracts to festival toilets.

You’ll be expected to work throughout July and August, and there will be long working days in the weeks leading up to Copenhagen Pride and during the week of the event.

Core tasks

  • Coordinate activities, tasks and contracts before, during and after an event – e.g. obtaining permits and licences, liaising with suppliers and making agreements with artists.
  • Solving unpredictable issues during event organisation and delivery
  • Liaising with our year-round volunteer Area Managers and the many volunteers working during our events
  • Responsible for our storage facilities

Your skills and experience

  • Experience in event planning and production as well as contract and budget management
  • Capable of working under pressure – we’re busy in the run-up to an event but we co-operate, help each other and never forget to have fun
  • Structured in your approach and a problem solver
  • Fluent in Danish and have professional skills in English. Proficiency in other languages is a bonus.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Google applications
  • Good understanding of health, safety and risk minimisation and ensuring a safe event for all volunteers, staff and visitors
  • Driving licence is an advantage, but not a requirement

The role reports to the Production Manager and is located at our office in Kompagnistræde. This is a fixed term contract until 30 September 2025 with the possibility of extension if funding is available.

Communications Intern

We have space in our Secretariat team for a Communications Intern to support our communications activities across all aspects of our organisation. It will be a fantastic opportunity to understand working in an organisation focused on LGBTI+ human rights, delivering events, working with a range of external partners, and working across every aspect of communications.

Core tasks

  • Working with the Head of Secretariat, have a day-to-day overview of all communications activities related to Copenhagen Pride
  • Help to plan, schedule and manage social media posts, and answer incoming queries from members of the public
  • Assist with editing and updating the website
  • Help to answer requests from media and work with the Head of Secretariat and Chairperson in responding to them
  • Work with our specialist area managers as they plan the program for our events, and to help to develop a plan for promoting campaigns and events
  • During our events, work with the whole team to support the events being delivered according to plan
  • Be a part of our ‘hands-on’ Secretariat team where we all work together to get tasks completed when needed!

If the internship would form part of your studies or another program, we are happy to consider adding further areas if these would support you in your studies.

Skills and experience

We are looking for someone who:

  • Is a team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment
  • Is a good communicator, and who is fluent (level C2) in written and spoken Danish, and who has at least level B2 in written and spoken English
  • Has some experience in communications in a professional setting
  • Has an interest in communications and sees this as a potential future career

The role reports to the Head of Secretariat. This is an unpaid internship of at least three months’ in duration. An allowance for lunch 80kr/day) and reasonable travel expenses will be paid.
