Pride week in August is the biggest and best-known of our annual calendar of events, and this year it runs from Saturday 9 August to Sunday 17 August. The full Program is published on Monday 21 July, but you can get a taste for our plans below!
If you can’t wait for Pride in August, check out the program for Pride: Out Loud! in June!
Pride Square
For eight days – from Saturday 8 August to Saturday 16 August – we transform Copenhagen’s iconic City Hall Square (Rådhuspladsen) into Pride Square, the beating heart of our event. At Pride Square you will find our stage, community spaces, exhibitor and partner booths, food and drink, our volunteer hub and more.
Events at Pride Square include our concerts like Drag Night and the Closing Concert, community activities and the Big Queer Fleamarket, Children’s Pride, sports activities, entertaining events such as drag bingo, and we are developing some new ideas for 2025 – watch this space!
Pride Square is an open public space and no ticket is required.
Rainbow Square
Rainbow Square (Regnbuepladsen) will once again be the location for our Debate Tent, the home of our human rights content over several days.
If you want to organise an event in the Debate Tent, the open call is live now and closes on Monday 28 April. Click here for the submission form.
Rainbow Square is an open public space and no ticket is required.
Parade
The Copenhagen Pride Parade is on Saturday 16 August 2025 and starts at Frederiksberg City Hall at 13.00 and follows the usual route to Copenhagen City Hall. Expect a fabulous crowd of up to 250.000 Copenhageners!
After Parties and Street Parties
The official Copenhagen Pride After Party will be back in 2025! Watch this space and more information will be published in the summer!
In the evening on Saturday 16 August street parties take place close to community bars and venues on Studiestræde, Lavendelstræde, Slutterigade and Farvergade. These are not managed or organised by Copenhagen Pride but are popular with Pride visitors.
External events
Our Program includes many events organised by community organisations, cultural institutions, and other partners. We aim to include the broadest possible range of events that are inclusive and representative of our diverse community.
There is no limit to the imagination for these events. In previous years events have included inclusive church services, cultural exhibitions at SMK and Glyptotek, sexual health quiz at AIDS Fondet, queer walking tours, historical exhibits at Copenhagen Museum, and of course the brilliant cAnal Tours.
If you have an event you would like to include in the Program, please complete this form.
Accessibility
We take a range of measures to make Copenhagen Pride as accessible as possible, and we are always keen to hear ideas on how we can improve further. In 2025, you can expect:
- Clear information in the program on venue and event accessibility
- Accessible toilet facilities at Pride Square
- Accessible viewing platform at Pride Square
- A designated quieter space at Pride Square for relaxation and calm
- Water and shade for Support Animals at Pride Square and Rainbow Square
- Parade walk-through on Friday 15 August, following the route of the Parade, so that people can familiarise themselves with the route when it is quieter and with fewer stimuli
- Sign Language Interpretation for speeches on the main stage on Saturday 16 August (and at other times, to be confirmed)
We were the first Pride in the world to adopt the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower and this continues for a fourth year. Volunteers are trained in the meaning of the Sunflower, and Sunflower lanyards can be obtained free of charge at several locations across our event.
If you have questions or suggestions about accessibility please contact us at sekretariat@copenhagenpride.dk.
