Social Media Acceptable Use Policy
Copenhagen Pride uses social media to share information and respond to queries. Our main channels are Facebook, Instagram, BlueSky and LinkedIn. We welcome comments and suggestions from our community. We also welcome constructive feedback and criticism.
Unacceptable behaviour
We will not tolerate abusive or unacceptable posts or comments on our social media channels. We will mute, restrict or block accounts that interact in an unreasonable way. We will also delete or hide posts we believe to be offensive or spreading misinformation.
We regard the following as unacceptable:
- Swearing and offensive language
- Sexism
- Misogyny
- Racism
- LGBTQIA+ phobia
- Ageism
- Ableism
- Intolerance of religion or religious belief
- Inciting hate or harm
- False information or statements, including about our Partners
- Harassment
- Threats
- Personal or defamatory comments about individuals
Threats, harassment and abuse may be reported to the police.
Criticism of Copenhagen Pride
We know that we won’t always get everything right and we welcome constructive criticism and feedback. Such feedback is always considered by our Board and where appropriate we may provide a response.
Our response will not always be acceptable to the person or group giving the feedback, but it will be the position of Copenhagen Pride and in giving that response we will consider the matter closed. Further posting of the same complaint, or comments in relation to the same complaint, may result in the poster being restricted or blocked.
Blocked users
The decision to restrict or block a user is not made lightly and only when there is evidence of a breach of this policy. Screenshots and other evidence may be recorded and stored on Copenhagen Pride’s systems.
We will not notify people directly when they are restricted or blocked and we will not discuss on social media the reasons for a block being put in place.
If you are restricted or blocked from interacting with Pride online and believe the action taken to be in error, please contact us by email with details and we will look into what has happened.
