It’s gonna be big, it’s gonna be crazy, it’s gonna be queer
Copenhagen Pride has been growing – and this is reflected in this year’s music programme. From the 12 to 19 August, the LGBTI+ organisation will host more than 20 free concerts at Rådhuspladsen, which will be transformed into Pride Square during the period.
Among other things, you can experience pure DIY punk when Lesbian Pik takes the stage and sets the stage for both dancing and resistance. This year there are also two Youth Nights on the 16th and 17th, where the platform is given to young artists such as Barbro, NIMĀ, Spring & I, Ravi Kuma and Julie Pavon – the latter coming straight from a series of well-received festival performances over the summer with ‘the wildest energy’. The party will also be turned up for the big Pride Show on Saturday the 19th after the parade, where First Hate, who impressed at Roskilde Festival just a few weeks ago, will take to the stage.
The programme has been put together with a focus on diversity in terms of age, ethnicity, genre, and gender. In addition to the music programme, during Copenhagen Pride you can experience a five-day human rights programme, film screenings, performances, Pride Art exhibition, children’s programme, Drag Night and the new concept PrideCon, a mini-convention focusing on all things nerdy and queer.
This year’s music programme is supported by Koda Culture. Koda’s cultural funds are intended to ensure a strong and diverse music scene.
Copenhagen Pride Week will take place from 12-20 August 2023, and the full programme will be published on Monday 17 July right here on the website.
