While Pride Week in August and Winter Pride in February are well known, the work of organising these events goes on all year round. And after a successful AGM last week, we are launching a major recruitment campaign to attract people to volunteer roles all year round.
Our year-round volunteers are the beating heart of Copenhagen Pride, and we couldn’t organise our events without them: That’s why we call the year-round team our Super Volunteers.
Being a Super Volunteer at Copenhagen Pride is a rewarding experience where you make new friends, learn new skills and get great satisfaction from contributing to Scandinavia’s largest free Pride and one of Denmark’s biggest events. We work from our super cosy office just a few minutes’ walk from City Hall Square, and each team sets its own meetings and activities to accommodate people’s calendars.
We are looking for people with experience in:
- Accessibility
- Artist Management
- Backstage
- Bars and hospitality
- Catering and catering
- Events and events
- Fundraising
- Photography and videography
- Production & Manufacturing
- Retail business
- Social media and social media
- Sustainability
- Translation (Danish/English)
- Volunteer management
We are also interested in hearing from people who have a good knowledge or deep interest in the following programme areas:
- Arts and Culture
- Children and families
- Diversity, equality, inclusion and belonging
- Human rights
- Young people
We welcome volunteers with a wide range of backgrounds, skills and experiences. The most important thing is that you are passionate about LGBTI+ equality and that you can work in Danish or English (or both!).
If you’re interested, sign up here and join one of our open evenings or an open day in January. Here you can meet some of the staff, see a presentation of Copenhagen Pride and how we work, and hear more about the open positions.
If you don’t want to wait until January and want to join now, send an email to [email protected] and one of the team will get back to you!
